DescriptionVery thick bubbly glass. Numerous spherical bubbles burst at surface. A few elongated bubbles in direction of ribs.
Translucent dark blue appearing opaque. Similarly colored handles and base.
Rod-tooled and twisted. Excess glass at tips of handles clipped off.
Thick, lobed rim rounded in flame. Crimped constriction ca. 1.0 cm below rim. Tubular body tapering downward. Small, non-functional knob-shaped base. Vessel cannot stand. Two curving coil handles attached below constriction and applied to edge of rim.
On body, seven broad twisted ribs spiral from bottom right to top left beginning ca. 1 cm above base, overlapping each other on upper body, and reversing direction as they continue into rim.
CLASSIFICATION: Rod-Tooled III C 1 b.
