DescriptionThis pale green bottle was made in the 3rd–4th century CE. The glass shows spiral air bubbles and was shaped using a mold in two steps—first to create diagonal ribs, then again to form vertical ones. The result is a woven-like surface pattern. The rim flares out and has a roll just below it. The long neck has a slight bulge near the base, leading to a rounded body that is widest near the bottom. The bottle rests on a flat base, and there is no mark from the blowing rod.
