Mary Beth McKenzie

American, born 1946
BiographyMary Beth McKenzie was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1946. She studied at the Art Students League in New York, the National Academy of Design, the Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She was elected to the National Academy of Design in 1994. Her work is represented widely in museums across the country, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the New-York Historical Society, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and the Dayton Museum of Art. She has had several solo exhibitions in New York City, and has exhibited in group shows nationwide. She has been the recipient of the Thomas B. Clarke Prize from the National Academy of Design Annual, the Stacey Foundation Grant, the Greenshields Foundation Grant, and the Edward Mooney Traveling Scholarship.
