Glenn Rand

American, born 1944
BiographyGlenn Rand, fine art photographer, educator and writer, received his BA (1966) and MA (1968) in design from Purdue University, and Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati (1975). His fine art photography is in public museum collections throughout the United States, Japan, and Europe including the Toledo Museum of Art (La Brea, 2009), the Detroit Institute of Art, the Finnish Museum of Photography, Houston Museum of Art, and the Cincinnati Art Museum.

The author of 12 books, including Lighting for Photography (2008), Capture (2011), and The Portrait, 2nd Edition (2014), Rand has published and lectured extensively about traditional photography and digital imaging since 1966.
