DescriptionThis fragment preserves part of a mosaic glass plaque featuring floral motifs. It is composed of polychrome canes that were cut, arranged, and cast against a pale gray-green ground. The design includes a central four-petaled flower rendered in opaque yellow, outlined in opaque white and red. Above it, pairs of long lily-like flowers emerge, with green bases transitioning to opaque yellow and white petals. At the top, an inverted fan-shaped floral element is flanked by two partially preserved blossoms, each showing opaque red and yellow coloration. Between them, spear-shaped leaves of green and opaque yellow glass are positioned. Vertically arranged along each side of the central zone are various flower motifs: six-petaled white blossoms with red centers, circular opaque yellow flowers marked with brown X-shapes, and a seven-rod cluster in opaque yellow set against green. The backing of the plaque is constructed from lengths of colored canes laid randomly or perpendicularly. The upper surface is flat and polished; the underside is uneven and slightly convex.
