DescriptionThis fragment of a mosaic glass plaque or inlay features parallel bands of floral and other stylized motifs rendered in multiple colors on an opaque red background. The piece was made using the fused mosaic technique, where polychrome glass canes are arranged into patterns, fused together, and polished.
