DescriptionThis broad, shallow bowl is made of natural bluish-green glass. It features a slightly outsplayed rim with a rounded edge, a sloping side tapering diagonally to a slightly concave bottom, and a band of eighty-five short, nearly vertical ribs around the middle of the body. Two narrow grooves are wheel-cut into the interior at the junction of the side and bottom, along with a faint circular groove or abraded mark at the center of the base. The vessel was formed by sagging, then rotary-polished on the interior, the rim, and the upper part of the exterior; the rest of the surface was fire-polished.
