DescriptionThis ribbed bowl, classified as ancient glass, is made of natural bluish-green glass. It features a slightly outsplayed rim with a rounded edge, straight sides tapering diagonally, and a slightly concave bottom. The interior includes three narrow wheel-cut grooves—two at the junction of the side and base, and a small circular groove at the center. The exterior is decorated with seventy-four short, closely spaced ribs arranged obliquely around the vessel’s midsection. The bowl was formed by sagging and finished through rotary- and fire-polishing, as well as interior cutting.
