DescriptionA rounded birchbark 'purse' that at one time likely had a hide or fiber
strap. Hinged lid is lashed to the body of the purse with a simple stitch
technique. Intricate patterning in porcupine quills dyed a variety of
colors cover the surface of both the lid and the purse.
