DescriptionFine woven linen gauze substrate embroidered with polychrome silk threads depicting the family register of Hannah Winchell. The work is bordered with a floral motif with embroidered blue ribbons in the top corners. There is a weeping willow tree in the lower right in the design field. This work was completed using a variety of stitches including cross stitch, stem stitch, satin stitch and french knots.
