DescriptionRed Han damask skirt embroidered with blue, white, green, and metallic stitches. Center panel motifs are appliqué. Embroidery panel and hemline is trimmed with 6/1 (possibly 7/1) black satin applied on the bias with a satin stitch embroidered black silk insert.
Interior is lined with blue silk only where the panel and slit are on the front and back. Waistband is a natural cotton plain weave material with a loop at each end for wearing. Skirt has knife pleating that has been stitched in place. The motifs include peonies, plum blossoms, bats and butterflies.
