DescriptionEntire piece pressed upright in a female mold of two vertical sections bearing the Ashburton pattern that formed the bowl by a plain male plunger that formed the hollow interior, in conjunction with a second plunger working from below that formed the hollow cylinder at the lower end of the standard from which the foot was tooled after being reheated. Rim reheated and flared outward by tooling. Deep, broad polished pontil mark.
