DescriptionA cast glass appliqué in the form of a lion's head modeled in high relief. The visage is characterized by a fringed mane, deep-set eyes, and a muzzle with a partially open mouth revealing fangs. The object was originally blue but has weathered to an opaque gray-ivory tone. It is mounted on a backing with traces of blue glass adhesion.
