DescriptionThis beaker, classified as mold-blown glass, is made of light yellowish-green glass with a cylindrical shape, a slightly flared rim, and a rounded bottom; the top third of the body is decorated with vertical fluting, while the remaining lower body and flat base display a honeycomb pattern produced by expanding the mold-blown glass. Although the beaker referenced in comparative literature is thought to be Western, the source notes that Syrian examples exist, and because most of the Curtis Collection is from the Eastern Mediterranean, this piece is probably from that region.
