DescriptionFont blown and finished by tooling. Joined by a multi-ribbed knop to the base. Base pressed upside down in a female mold, probably of two sections--a lower one-piece section that formed the lotus petals in conjunction with an upper section that formed the exterior of the square base--by a male plunger bearing the pattern on the interior. After being pressed, the lotus petals were tooled outward. Slightly rough pontil mark around the interior edge of the upper opening in the base. Font stone-wheel-engraved with a matte pattern of three bunches of grapes suspended from a meandering vine and a band of ovals above.
