DescriptionFont blown and finished by tooling. Applied short tooled stem ending in a cushion knop. Joined directly to the stem of the stepped base. Base pressed upside down in a plain one-piece female mold by a male plunger that created the vertical ribs on the interior and also the flat perimeter of the base. No cap ring. Traces of a rough pontil mark on the interior of the base. Font cut with a pattern of three swags, three tassels, and three eight-pointed stars. Pewter collar with screw thread and pewter-and-tin double-wick whale-oil burner.
