DescriptionVery thick glass. Fabric cannot be determined because of weathering.
Transparent to translucent natural light olive (10 Y 6/2).
Body blown into one-part patterned mold. No pontil mark.
Shape of entire vessel like 1987.216, but larger. Flat base.
On underside of base, a mold blown figure of Mercury in three-quarter view to left, dressed in short tunic with a traveller's cloak. The tip of his cloak hangs loosely over his left shoulder. He stretches both arms forward holding a three-pronged object (caduceus? cornucopia?) in his right hand. In corners clockwise from top left: G F I H.
