DescriptionThis vessel is a bulbous jar with zigzag neck coil, classified as Jar Class IB1a. It is made of medium thick glass; the fabric cannot be determined because of weathering. The glass is transparent natural green with a translucent zigzag coil of similar color, though the exact shade cannot be determined due to weathering. It is free-blown and tooled with hot-tooled decoration. A pontil mark about 1.2 cm in diameter is visible.
The rim is flared and folded outward, upward, inward, and downward. The deeply concave neck has a curved transition to the shoulder. The squat bulbous body appears square because of its decoration. The base is flattened with a slight depression in the center.
A freestanding zigzag coil is applied to the shoulder and attached to the rim, trailed from left to right with twenty-three segments between shoulder and rim, then continuing as a single trail diagonally over the zigzag, twice around its base, and up again toward the rim. On the body, four large circular indentations appear without a tool mark in the center.
