DescriptionThis vessel is made of medium thin glass in transparent natural pale green (10 G 6/2), with a translucent thread appearing dusky green (near 5 BG 3/2). A few small bubbles are visible. The jar was free-blown and tooled, with applied decoration. Pontil mark is about 1.0 cm. The rim is rounded in flame, with a funnel neck that curves smoothly into a gently sloping shoulder. The bulbous body reaches its greatest diameter above the middle and rests on a concave base with a flattened, pushed-in base ring. A freestanding irregular looping zigzag coil is applied from the shoulder to the rim, trailed on from left to right with nineteen turns; the fifteenth turn is mistakenly pulled horizontally along the rim before being applied to the shoulder, and the bases of the first two loops overlap. Below the zigzag on the neck are thirteen revolutions of thin thread.
