Description
This greenish glass bottle from the 3rd–4th century CE has a flat, circular body and a tall neck. A single handle curves from the shoulder to the rim, which is folded and flared. Decorative threads spiral four times around the body and end in a zigzag design. The base is rounded, so the bottle does not stand upright. A mark on the base shows where it was separated from the glassmaker’s tool.
