DescriptionThis spherical bottle was free-blown from medium-thin glass made of translucent amber-colored and opaque white bands. The glass bands are shaped into a festoon pattern using a pointed tool. Small oval bubbles are visible in the neck and tiny spherical bubbles in the body. The bottle has a globular body with a slender neck and a flaring mouth rim. An opaque white thread appears light brownish yellow near the edge. The added thread was tooled and melted into the surface. The bottle has a small, flattened base and no pontil mark.
