DescriptionThis piriform bottle was free-blown from translucent manganese-colored glass with an added opaque white thread. The fabric shows numerous small spherical bubbles, many of which have burst at the surface. The bottle has an everted rim rolled inward with a tool mark on the interior, a tall cylindrical neck with a smooth transition to the shoulder, and a piriform body ending in a flattened base. An embedded white spiral thread runs from the center of the base to the rim, combed downward to create an exceptionally regular pattern of quadruple inverted festoons. This vessel is classified as Isings 1957, Form 26 (variation).
