BiographyOsinachi is best known as the first artist on the African continent to create digital art/NFTs and was named as one of the 100 most influential Africans in 2022 for New African Magazine. Christie’s 2021 auction of his works inspired by David Hockney’s pool paintings launched Osinachi into the international art scene: https://www.christies.com/features/Osinachi-Different-Shades-of-Water-11897-7.aspx. With his visibility, Osinachi has made it a mission to make these virtual art spaces and connections to the art world more accessible to artists in Nigeria and across the continent. For example, in 2022, he curated Africa Here, which also encompassed an accelerator program onboarding more than 70 African-born artists on the NFT marketplace Makerspace.
