Gerald Gulotta
American, 1921-2018
for Owens-Illinois and experimental Fiberglas furniture and bathroom units for Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation. Since 1963 he has operated Gerald Gulotta Design, Inc. in New York and is internationally known for his ceramics and glass designs. His clients included Block China Corporation, Dansk International Designs, and European and
Asian manufacturers. From 1955-84, Gulotta was a professor at Pratt Institute. In addition, he developed design education programs in several countries.
Gulotta's functional objects of glass, porcelain, ceramic, silver and stainless steel are included in the collections of The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, London's Victoria and Albert Museum, and several others.
