Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri

BiographyMick Namarari Tjapaltjarri was from the Pintupi language group of Australian Aboriginal people. He was one of the founding artists of the movement that emerged in Papunya Tula. In 1994, Mick was seen as one of Australia's most important living painters. Art dealer Wally Caruana described Mick as someone whose paintings are based ancient traditions but have contemporary relevance.
