DescriptionOpaque cafe au lait glass paste.
Head, probably Apollo in deep relief cut.
Fragment of larger relief (?), having been cut away at the neck. Flat back, with glass blob still attached (from application to a backing). Done in pale tan opaque glass, fragment shows head of young clean-shaven male with heavy lids and open mouth. Hair wavy and leonine (like portraits of Alexander the Great), with wreath of wheat(?) stalked and leaves resting on top. Perhaps Apollo, perhaps a satyr.
