DescriptionBowl made by taking a gather of colorless glass on blowpipe, or pontil rod, encircling it with thread of yellow glass, alternately dragging threads up and down at six points to create petals on gather, rewarming and marvering threads in, then making a gather of opalescent white glass over it and expanding the whole, to which a gather of colorless glass was applied and tooled to form stem; additional gather applied and tooled to form foot. Stuck up at foot, blowpipe cracked off, upper part rewarmed and tooled to form bowl. Pontil mark ground and polished.
