Label TextOn the underside of the base is an inscription, which translates as: Made during the period of Cheng Hua of the Great Ming Dynasty Although this vase was made many years after the end of the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), it was common practice to include inscriptions honoring the greatness of past dynasties.
