DescriptionDecanter: pressed upright in a female mold of three vertical sections in the form of a slightly tapered large tumbler bearing the pattern for the six-lobed foot, the Sharp Diamond pattern, and the short plain section above it, in conjunction with a one-piece female mold that formed a plain cylinder above, with a plain flat base plate that formed the base, by a plain male plunger. Stuck up and the cylinder reheated, then tooled to form the neck and lip. Neck rough-ground to receive a stopper. Lip fire-polished. Pontil mark ground and polished. Capacity: 1 quart. Stopper: pressed upright in a two-piece mold bearing the pattern with a plain one-piece cylindrical mold above. Cylinder reheated and tooled to form the pointed top. Bottom end rough-ground to fit decanter.
