DescriptionThin glass. Small bubbles in body. Black specks in handles. Blowing spirals.
Transparent natural pale green (near 10 G 6/2). Translucent similarly colored handles and thread with reddish brown streaks in handles.
Free blown. Pontil mark ca. 1.6 cm in diameter. Added thread. Body pinched once lengthwise. Added handles; excess glass at tips of handles drawn back against top of handles.
Hollow rim folded inward and downward. Flattened body with two tubular compartments, narrowing toward slight bulge above base. Narrow base. Four double-tiered angular coil handles applied to middle of body on front, back, and sides, touched down to side of rim, and attached to top of rim with upper tiers projecting above rim. A three-dimensional double-tiered basket handle made from four coils with circular sections: the first tier consists of one coil applied to the top of the back handle and attached to the top of the front handle and a crossing element consisting of two coils applied to the tops of the left and right side handles, attached to the center of the lower coil of the tier with the left half overlapping the right, and folded back to form a decorative knob; the second tier consists of a single coil applied to the top of the left half of the lower tier and attached to the opposite side; the second tier is topped by a flattened knob made of a short segment of wound coil.
On body from above base to below rim, five revolutions of very thin thread trailed on from right to left. Thread decoration applied before body was pinched.
