DescriptionThis double-tube vessel is made of free-blown and tooled glass. The pontil mark is approximately 1.2 cm in diameter and has been ground off. The body was pinched once lengthwise to form two tubular compartments. A thread was added as decoration. The glass is transparent natural pale green (near 10 G 6/2) with a translucent similarly colored applied thread. The rim is folded outward, upward, inward, and downward. The flattened body narrows at the waist and broadens to its greatest diameter just above the narrow, flattened base. A freestanding zigzag coil was applied from left to right approximately 3.0 cm below the rim, with eighteen segments extending from the upper body to the rim. From there, the thread was pulled down to continue around the body with fifteen revolutions, ending about 1.2 cm above the base. The thread decoration was applied after the body was pinched. This vessel is classified as a Double Tube IB2a.
