DescriptionThis double-tube vessel is made of transparent to translucent manganese-colored grayish red glass. It is free-blown and tooled, although the pontil mark cannot be detected because of weathering. The thin glass body was pinched once lengthwise to form two tubular compartments that broaden toward a flattened base. The rim is folded outward, upward, inward, and downward. A freestanding zigzag coil was applied to the upper body, with an indeterminate number of segments extending from the body to the rim. An unknown number of revolutions of thread were also trailed around the body. This vessel is classified as Double Tube IB2a.
