DescriptionThis squat bulbous bottle with two handles is free-blown from medium thick transparent natural pale green glass (10 G 6/2) with pinprick bubbles and features trailed decoration and applied handles. The translucent handles, neck, and rim coil are similarly colored, while the applied thread is a moderate blue-green (near 5 BG 4/6). The pontil mark measures about 1.3 cm. A flaring rim, rounded in flame, tops the tubular neck with a curved transition to the sloping shoulder. The bulbous body has its greatest diameter below center and rests on a concave base. Two angular coil handles extend from the shoulder to the center of the neck, folded inward, upward, and outward. The vessel has a rim coil, a neck coil, and on the body, a regular zigzag trail with fourteen points that continues upward as three revolutions of straight thread.
