DescriptionCruciform design.
Very thick (0.74) lower layer, very thin (0.03) upper layer.
Natural green tinted lower layer; decolorized upper layer with a slightly grayish yellow tinge.
Gold leaf applied to lower layer and sandwiched between layers of glass. Cut on four sides with some chipped areas. Reddish brown rough backing.
Flat, square.
Same as 59.1027a. Delete: (Geometric design consisting of a large square cut out of gold foil at a diagonal to plaque. Within which is a symmetrical pattern of four pairs of isoceles triangles, one small, one large, whose long sides face the tips of the pattern square; the pattern centers upon a small square in the center oriented in the same manner as the pattern square. Where the glass shows through the gold foil, the glass appears black because the backing inhabits the passage of light.)
