DescriptionThis thimble jar is free-blown and tooled from thin, transparent glass with a very light greenish-blue tint. It contains a few pinprick bubbles within the glass matrix. The vessel features a horizontally outsplayed hollow rim that has been folded outward, upward, and inward to form a rounded lip. The cylindrical neck broadens slightly toward the base, lacking a distinct body or shoulder articulation. The base is flattened with a shallow central depression and a circular scar approximately 1.0 cm in diameter, indicating where the vessel was detached from the pontil.
