DescriptionA pen and ink, color wash drawing on cream wove paper. Written in pencil on the bottom of mat: George Montard [sometimes published as Moutard] Woodward 1760-1809, signed & inscribed. Also on recto in pen: G.M. Woodward, Delin, [meaning delineavit or has drawn it], "The Face that Nature paints". On verso in pencil: NYC USA, Old Print Shop, 18/10/68; and at bottom of verso: HTP 35 (circled). A pen and ink, color wash drawing on cream wove paper.
