Label TextAlthough Motherwell had illustrated Alberti's A LAPINTURA in 1972, he only met the writer in 1980. Alberti had written the poem "El Negro Motherwell" or "Motherwell Black" in homage to Motherwell on the occasion of the opening of an exhibition of his painting in Madrid.Membership
