Michael McClure

McClure moved to San Francisco in his youth and became known as one of the five poets who read at the Six Gallery 1955, where Allen Ginsberg first read Howl, and considered a defining moment of the Beat Generation. He is rendered as a fictional character in Jack Kerouac's novels.
