Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin

British, 1812-1852
BiographyDied 14 December 1852. His three sons, Edward Welby, Peter Paul, and Cuthbert Welby, were also architects. A.W.N. Welby is the best known architect of the Pugin family because he determined course of England's Gothic Revival in architecture. He worked mostly for the Roman Catholic church, but also collaborated on the Houses of Parliament with the architect Charles Barry. English architect and designer.
