BiographyBorn in Livorno on March 19, 1890, Razzaguta was a self-taught artist who developed an artistic inclination from an early age. He focused on depictions of the pour people at the margins of society in his hometown; he never left Livorno. The subdued light and deep colors together with pronounced outlines may have been influenced by northern symbolist painters and Japanese woodcuts. Little is know about his life and work but he became a fixture in the artistic circles of his native city, being involved in exhibition initiatives and working as a journalist to support his fellow artist.
