Peter GlendinningAmerican, born 1951
Peter Glendinning received his MFA in Experimental Studio in 1978 after earning his BA in Photojournalism and Political Science and BFA in Studio Art from Syracuse University. He studied with Lisette Model at the New School for Social Research in 1973, and has taught photography at Michigan State University since 1978.
Glendinning’s photographs are represented in many public and private collections including the George Eastman House, University of Arizona, and Tweed Museum of Art. Among other awards, he has won the ADDY award, recognition from the National Park Service, and the Best of the American Society of Media Photographers 2015 Award. Glendinning also served as a past president of the Midwest Region Society for Photographic Education.
