Diana Al-HadidSyrian, born 1981

Diana Al-Hadid is a Syrian born American artist who was raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Al-Hadid received her BA in Art History and BFA in Sculpture from Kent State University in 2003, and her MFA in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond in 2005. After, she attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Sweden in 2007. She has completed many residencies, including (but not limited to) residencies at The Bronx Museum, New York Foundation for the Arts, Joan Mitchell Foundation, and Dartmouth College. She is represented by Marianne Boesky Gallery in New York.

Diana Al-Hadid’s work can be found in numerous public collections, including: The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Weatherspoon Art Museum, The University of North Carolina; The Saatchi Collection, London; The C-Collection, Vaduz, Principality of Liechtenstein; and The Judith Rothschild Foundation, New York.
