Hideyuki 英之 (Sakurai Hideo 桜井英夫), b. 1941. One of the top-ranking carvers of the late 20th century. Usually carves in ivory with minimum color; also does excellent work in wood with lacquer and inlay decoration. Delicate and detailed technique.
