DescriptionA hexagonal lidded box made of porcelain with surface decoration. The surface decoration shows a praying mantis and a butterfly situated on top of red and purple leafy flowers. The decoration continues on the interior, where an asymmetric composition places a praying mantis approaching a house fly. The underside of the base has Susumu Ikuta’s signature.
