Label TextA perfect combination of the symbolism of the Roman Republic on which it modeled its ideals and the unique aspects of the newly independent American nation, the bald eagle was adopted as the official emblem of the United States. Eagles quickly proliferated on all manner of decorative arts adorning Americans’ homes, including, somewhat ironically, those made in England for the American market. This beer tankard features the eagle surrounded by interlinked rings with the names of the 16 states that then made up the Union.
