DescriptionWhite porcelain with blue underglaze design.
Label TextJapanese porcelains with over glaze painting originated in Artia Province and were meant to imitate Chinese porcelain. Kakiemon ware is an ivory-white porcelain decorated with graceful designs of the purely Japanese style of painting known as lamato-e.
