DescriptionIn the 1930s Walt Disney approached Libbey to produce glasses to advertise Disney's new film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), the first full length cel-animated film. These glasses were used by the dairy industry and packaged as free promotional products with cottage cheese. Sold by the millions, the premium giveaway glass became a significant product for Libbey. They have produced custom decorated glasses for a myriad of businesses, including fast-food restaurants, gas stations, sports teams, and the entertainment industry. Libbey has also produced the annual Kentucky Derby glass since the 1940s.
