Label TextSimilar to Tjangimanta by the same artist (see nearby), this etching recalls the travels of the Tingari Men, Ancestral Beings whose movements helped to form sacred sites and bring features of the land into being. The designs in this image are associated with the rockhole site of Wimrlnga, just to the southwest of the Kiwirrkura community in Western Australia. The roundels represent the rockholes (depressions in the rock that collect water) at the site.Exhibition History
