DescriptionOvoid shaped jug with wide mouth and a rough foot, decorated with freely painted scale pattern and covered with a turquoise glaze that has flowed down onto the foot during firing. One of the so-called "Kubachi" types of pottery. Intact with crackle throughout; in places (especially mouth and inside) stained from oils stored in jar.
