DescriptionNecklace composed of carnelian beads shaped like poppies. Today it is strung together with other beads from a different source (accession 1925.766), creating a modern composite display.
Label TextAt some point in modern times, this necklace (accession 1915.131) was restrung with additional carnelian beads donated separately by the Egypt Exploration Society (accession 1925.766), resulting in a display composite rather than a complete original artifact.Exhibition HistoryToledo Museum of Art, The Egypt Experience: Secrets of the Tomb, October 29, 2010-January 8, 2012.New Kingdom, Dynasty 18-20
